  Friends of the Library

Friends of the Library is a volunteer organization of local residents
dedicated to enhancing the Menlo Park Public Library, its resources and the many services it provides to the community. Activities include sponsorship of events and efforts to promote literacy, as well as raising funds.

Activities to promote literacy include the annual "Kepler's Day", where
Friends' volunteers support local schools in a drive to increase the number of books read by students.

Fund-raising activities include:

  • Sales of donated materials in the "Bookstore," a nook within the library near the entrance.
  • Annual book sales in September and December where a collection of books are sold and auctioned.
  • Friends of the Library actively seeks residents of the city as new members.

To join or for more information, go to the Friends of the Menlo Park Library website www.friendsmpl.org, or call 330-2521.

Friends of the Menlo Park Library is a member of the Kepler's Community Partners Program. Whenever anyone mentions our name while shopping at Kepler's, they record the transaction and quarterly donate back 5% to us.
